Detroit Public Lighting Department - Commercial and Industrial Energy Wise Program

The Detroit Public Lighting Department (PLD) offers commercial and industrial customers rebates for energy efficient equipment. Specific rebate amounts, equipment requirements, and applications are available on the program web site. In order to qualify, equipment must be purchased between January 1, 2012 and November 30, 2012. In order to reserve funds, interested customers should send an application to the Energy Wise program. Program staff must conduct a pre-upgrade inspection at the site and approve the upgrades before new equipment is purchased.

Detroit Public Lighting Department - Residential Energy Wise Program

The Detroit Public Lighting Department (PLD) offers residential customers rebates for energy efficient lights. In addition, low-income residential customers may qualify for free compact fluorescent lights (CFLs). Specific rebate amounts, equipment requirements, and applications are available on the program web site. Rebate amounts may not exceed the cost of the item. In order to qualify, lights must be purchased between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012. Applications must be postmarked by January 6, 2013.

DTE Energy (Electric) - Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Program

DTE Energy's Commercial Your Energy Savings Program provides prescriptive incentives to commercial and industrial customers who implement energy efficiency upgrades in facilities. Custom incentives, based on the amount of estimated annual energy savings, are also available and apply to all energy efficiency improvement measures that are not eligible for a prescriptive incentive.

DTE offers a combination of energy audit discounts and rebates for the installation of energy efficiency improvements in Detroit Edison Electric and Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. service areas. Actual rebate levels vary according to whether the customer receives MichCon gas, DTE electric service, or both. Eligible measures and equipment includes programmable thermostats, energy audits, insulation, central ac systems, appliance recycling, and air sealing. DTE Energy's Commercial Your Energy Savings Program provides prescriptive incentives, predominantly on a simple per unit basis. Custom incentives are based on the amount of estimated annual energy savings and apply to all energy efficiency improvement measures that are not eligible for a prescriptive incentive. The New Construction and Remodeling Program provides design assistance and incentives for more efficient buildings by installing energy-efficiency equipment and controls that are not required by building energy codes and are above standard construction practices.

DTE Energy offers rebates for commercial facility new construction. Measures eligible for new construction and remodeling incentives encourage an integrated approach to incorporating energy efficiency in new construction and remodeling projects. New construction/remodeling projects must involve a facility improvement that results in isolated and measurable or verifiable electrical savings (kWh) and/or natural gas energy savings (MCF).
